About DailyBingQuiz

Why We Built DailyBingQuiz

The internet is full of quiz websites. Most of them have the same problem: questions are scraped from random sources, generated by AI, or copy-pasted from competitor sites. The result is a sea of trivia content that's repetitive, often inaccurate, and rarely teaches you anything you'll remember.

We started DailyBingQuiz with a simple idea — what if every quiz question was actually researched? Not generated by an algorithm. Not lifted from another website. Not regurgitated from cached search results. Just hand-written questions checked against verified sources.

The name comes from the popular Bing daily quiz format that millions of people enjoy. We are not affiliated with Microsoft or Bing in any way, but we admire the daily quiz habit they helped create. We thought — why not bring that same daily-quiz energy to a much wider variety of topics, with deeper editorial care?

How We Build a Quiz

Every quiz on DailyBingQuiz follows the same five-step editorial process. We've refined this over hundreds of quizzes and consider it the foundation of our quality standards.

Step 1: Topic Selection

We pick topics that have enough verifiable facts to support 10 strong questions, plus broad enough appeal that someone might actually want to play. A topic like "Famous Lighthouses" might seem obscure, but it has hundreds of years of documented history, geography, and engineering details — perfect for trivia. A topic like "My Hometown's Best Coffee Shops" doesn't work because it's hyper-local and not verifiable.

Step 2: Research

Our editorial team gathers information from multiple reputable sources — Wikipedia, Britannica, official organization websites, peer-reviewed journals, established news outlets, and topic-specific encyclopedias. We aim for at least three independent sources confirming any fact we use in a question.

Step 3: Question Writing

We write 10 questions with 4 answer options each. The wrong options (called distractors) are deliberately plausible — they're often common misconceptions or facts that are close to the right answer but technically wrong. This makes our quizzes more challenging and educational than typical trivia where the wrong options are obviously fake.

Step 4: Did You Know Facts

After each question, we add a short "Did You Know" fact — a related piece of trivia that expands on the answer. This is where the real learning happens. Even when you get an answer wrong, you walk away with new knowledge.

Step 5: Final Review

A second editor reviews every quiz before publishing. They check facts, test the difficulty, make sure all four options sound plausible, and verify the Did You Know facts. Only then does a quiz go live.

What Makes Our Quizzes Different

The differences between our approach and most quiz sites are concrete and measurable. Here's exactly what sets DailyBingQuiz apart from competitors who use AI generation or content scraping.

  • Verified facts: Every question has been checked against multiple reputable sources. We've never published a question without verifying it through at least three independent references.
  • Plausible distractors: Our wrong answers are designed to be tempting and often reflect common misconceptions, making the learning value much higher than typical multiple-choice trivia.
  • Educational facts after each answer: The "Did You Know" feature ensures players learn something even from wrong answers — turning every quiz into a mini-course.
  • Topic depth: With over 1,000 topics, we cover both popular categories (movies, sports, history) and surprising niches (board game history, perfume origins, weird animal facts).
  • Honest stats: We don't fake user counts, ratings, or testimonials. When we say "1,000+ quizzes," we literally counted them. When we say "10,000+ verified questions," that's 10 questions per quiz × 1,001 quizzes.
  • No tracking inside the quiz: We don't track your answers, build profiles, or sell data. Take a quiz, learn something, move on. Your privacy is yours.

Our Mission and Values

We believe that learning should be fun, accessible, and free. Quizzes are one of the most effective educational formats — they engage the brain through retrieval practice, which research consistently shows builds stronger memory than passive reading. By making high-quality quizzes free and easy to access, we hope to make daily learning a habit for as many people as possible.

Our values guide every decision we make about the site:

Honesty First

We don't fake testimonials, user counts, or expert endorsements. If a stat appears on our site, we can prove it. This sometimes means we look smaller than competitors who exaggerate, but we'd rather be small and honest than big and dishonest.

Respect for Users

No popups demanding your email. No banner ads inside quizzes. No dark patterns trying to trick you into subscriptions. Just quizzes, clearly presented, with respect for your time and attention.

Quality Over Quantity

We could publish 5,000 AI-generated quizzes tomorrow. We chose to publish 1,000 hand-researched ones instead. That choice reflects our belief that one good quiz is worth 100 mediocre ones.

Looking Forward

We have several exciting plans for DailyBingQuiz over the coming year. We will continue adding new topics monthly, expand into multiple languages starting with Hindi and Spanish, introduce a daily challenge feature with leaderboards, build mobile apps for iOS and Android, and partner with schools that want to use our quizzes in classrooms.

None of this changes our core commitment: every question, every fact, every quiz will continue to be researched by hand and verified before publication. Growth will not come at the expense of quality. That's the promise we make to every user who plays one of our quizzes.

Independence Statement

DailyBingQuiz is an independent platform with no corporate affiliations. We are not associated with Microsoft Corporation, the Bing search engine, Google, Yahoo, or any other major technology company. Despite the similar name, we have no business relationship with Microsoft or Bing. The "Bing" in our name is a casual nod to the popular daily quiz format, used in good faith and in the spirit of friendly tribute.

If you have questions about our independence, our editorial standards, or how we operate, please reach out via our contact page. We respond personally to every inquiry, usually within 24 hours.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is DailyBingQuiz really independent?

Yes, completely. We are not affiliated with Microsoft, Bing, or any major company. The name reflects our love for daily trivia and the popular Bing daily quiz format. We use no Bing branding, content, or APIs. We are a fully independent, family-run trivia website with our own editorial standards.

Who creates your quiz questions?

Our small editorial team researches and writes every question by hand. Each question is checked against multiple verified sources — Wikipedia, encyclopedias, academic publications, official websites, and reputable news organizations. We don't use AI to generate questions because AI often hallucinates facts.

How long does it take to create a quiz?

Each 10-question quiz typically takes 2-3 hours of editorial work. This includes topic research, fact-checking, writing the question and four answer options, and crafting the Did You Know fact. With over 1,000 quizzes, that's 2,000+ hours of editorial work.

Why do you have 1,000+ quiz topics?

We started with 50 popular topics, then kept adding categories users requested. The variety helps people discover new interests. A geography lover might play our Animals Quiz and learn something completely new. Breadth matters for generalist trivia.

Are quizzes updated regularly?

Yes. We add new quizzes monthly and update existing ones when facts change (like new world records, sports champions, or scientific discoveries). Each quiz shows the editorial date so you know when it was last verified.

Can I suggest a quiz topic?

Absolutely! We add 5-10 new topics monthly based on user suggestions. Email us at hello@dailybingquiz.com If your topic has enough verifiable facts, we'll create a quiz within 2-3 weeks.

Do you make money from the site?

We plan to display Google AdSense ads outside the quiz area (never inside the quiz itself) once we have steady traffic. The quiz experience will always remain ad-free. Our ad strategy prioritizes user experience over revenue.

Where are you based?

We are a remote-first team operating across multiple time zones. The site is hosted on US-based servers but serves users globally. Our editorial team works in English and is committed to global accessibility.
