This data is aggregated and anonymous — we cannot identify individual users from analytics data alone. We use it to understand which quizzes are popular, which articles users find helpful, and where we should focus our editorial efforts.
2. Voluntary Submissions (Contact Form)
When you contact us through our contact form or email us directly, you choose to share information like your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to mailing lists, share your information, or use it for any purpose beyond answering your specific question.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
We use minimal cookies and local storage. Specifically: a small cookie that remembers if you've accepted our cookie consent banner (so we don't show it again), and Google Analytics cookies that help with the analytics described above. We do not use cookies for advertising, behavioral tracking, or any third-party data sharing.
How We Use Your Information
The data we collect serves limited, specific purposes. We never use your information for purposes outside what's described here without explicit consent.
- To provide the service: Site analytics help us understand what's working and what needs improvement. Without basic analytics, we'd be flying blind on which content to create.
- To respond to inquiries: If you email us, we use your email to respond. That's the entire purpose.
- To improve the site: Aggregate data helps us decide which new quiz topics to add and which existing quizzes need updating.
- To prevent abuse: Server logs help us identify and block automated bots, scrapers, or attempts to abuse our infrastructure.
We do not use your data for advertising targeting, profile building, or any third-party marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
DailyBingQuiz integrates with a few third-party services, each with its own privacy policy. We've chosen these partners carefully and only use services we trust.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics for site traffic analysis. Google's data practices are governed by their privacy policy. If you want to opt out of Google Analytics tracking entirely, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available for all major browsers.
Google Fonts
We load fonts from Google Fonts for typography. This means Google may receive your IP address when you visit our site. We use Google Fonts because it's the standard for web typography and provides excellent performance.
Hosting Provider
Our site is hosted by a US-based hosting provider. Standard server logs (IP addresses, request times, user agents) are kept for security and operational purposes. These are not used for marketing or shared with anyone outside our hosting provider's standard operations.
Your Privacy Rights
You have several rights regarding your personal information. These rights vary slightly by jurisdiction (GDPR for European users, CCPA for California users, etc.), but we extend the strongest protections to all users globally.

Our quiz content is family-friendly and many of our users are children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Since we don't require account creation or collect personal data by default, this is naturally handled — children can play quizzes without sharing any personal information. If your child has shared personal information through our contact form and you'd like it removed, contact hello@dailybingquiz.com and we will delete it immediately.
Data Security
We protect your data with industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all site traffic, secure server infrastructure with regular security updates, limited access to user data (only the editorial team), and no storage of sensitive financial information (we never collect payment data).
While we work hard to protect your data, no system is 100% secure. If a security incident affects your data, we'll notify you within 72 hours per GDPR requirements.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. For significant changes, we may notify users through a banner on the site or via email if you've previously contacted us.

Can I delete my data?
Yes. If you contacted us via our form, you can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@dailybingquiz.com. For analytics data, you can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Quiz play data isn't tracked to individual users, so there's nothing to delete on that front.
Is the site safe for children under 13?
Our quiz content is family-friendly, but we follow the COPPA framework — we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Children should use the site with parental supervision. We don't have age verification because we don't ask for personal data from any users by default.
Do you comply with GDPR?

Where is my data stored?
Site hosting is on US-based servers. Google Analytics data is processed by Google according to their privacy policies. If you contact us, your message is stored in our email systems (Gmail) and our contact form provider. We don't transfer data to other jurisdictions for processing.
