Choose Your Topic Carefully

Pick something you know well or want to research. Best topics have lots of facts: history, music, sports, movies. Avoid topics with too few facts (your hometown's local store has limited material). Niche enough to feel special, broad enough to have material.

Research Real Verified Facts

Don't make up answers. Use multiple reputable sources: Wikipedia, encyclopedias, official websites. For historical dates, verify with 3 sources minimum. Note your sources for later disputes. Quiz integrity depends on accurate answers.

Write 10-15 Quality Questions

Mix difficulty: 30% easy, 50% medium, 20% hard. Include question variety: dates, people, places, what-ifs, true/false. Avoid trick questions that frustrate without educating. Each question should test specific knowledge.

Create 4 Plausible Options

All 4 options should be reasonable. Don't make wrong answers obviously silly. Make distractors people might actually pick. The best wrong answers are common misconceptions or very close to correct. This makes quizzes both fair and educational.

Add Did You Know Facts

After each question, share an interesting fact about the answer. This educates beyond the quiz itself. Players learn even when they get answers wrong, which builds engagement and return visits.

Test With Real Players

Have 5-10 friends play. Adjust questions that everyone got right (too easy) or everyone got wrong (too hard or unfair). Get feedback on clarity and fun factor. Iterate before publishing.

Publish or Share Your Quiz

Use platforms like Sporcle (publish for free), Google Forms for friends, or learn HTML to make your own page. WordPress plugins make quiz hosting easy. Social media works for casual sharing.
